Pursuing the joy of movement and combining dance, martial arts and mindfulness, Nia tones your body while transforming your mind. More than just a workout, Nia dance is a holistic fitness practice addressing each aspect of your life- body, mind and soul. Nia cardio workouts combine 52 simple moves with dance arts, martial arts and healing arts. Nia is non-impact, practiced barefoot, and adaptable to individual needs and abilities.
Special Instructions for Participants:
Nia dance is designed to be practiced barefoot but wear soft soled shoes if you are not comfortable dancing barefoot. Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move and sweat. Please arrive 10 minutes early if you are new to the Nia Technique. Dance Mission is across the street from the 24th St BART Station.
